Nice write up in the Weekly re: tomorrow’s benefit w/ Sharon Van Etten!

Here!  Or read on:

“There’s been a slight change of plans. What was once going to be an intimate concert for a lucky 100 ticket holders benefitting the construction of ADA-accessible bathrooms at the Henry Miller Memorial Library, is now going to be a bigger deal at the Golden State Theater with 850 more tickets for sale that will benefit victims of the Soberanes Fire.

“The giving comes easy for those who buy up the extra tickets because in return they get a performance by Sharon Van Etten: The increasingly prolific indie songstress who’s ghostly voice is just as haunting in her lo-fi albums, such as her 2009 debut Because I was in Love, as it is on her more heavily produced works, like her latest EP,  I Don’t Want to Let You Down.

“If her one-woman show wasn’t already a sweet deal, she is set to perform with the allusive Beach Boy, Al Jardine, as well as other local musicians. It’s an impressive do-gooder event with a big mission in mind. Residents who lost their homes in the fire, also receive free tickets. Doors open at 7pm.
