“The library folks moved their operations and events to Carmel’s The Barnyard shopping mall, and now they’re helping Douglas Steakley launch his new book Big Sur Revealed.
“He will show his photos through the library’s high-end projector and talk about them (6pm), submit to a Q&A, then sign his book. It’s his fifth such book.
“How does he keep the landscape subject fresh? It does the job for him, he says: “The light, waves, tides and vegetation are always changing and these changes result in very different ways of seeing the same scene.”
